Since 1862, when the Melbourne Medical School opened its doors to the first three Australian medical students, over 16,270 medical doctors have graduated from the University of Melbourne. Each year approximately 300 new Melbourne Medical graduates join the more than 10,000 alumni who remain in contact with us.

Our pride in our graduates and in their lives spent improving the health and well-being of others is matched by our desire to maintain strong connections with all who have passed through our doors.

The Melbourne Medical School and the Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences (MDHS) Advancement and Alumni office run events and produce communications designed to enable medical alumni to stay in touch with the Medical School and the University, remain connected to fellow graduates and support the work and lives of our current medical students.
