Healthy Ageing Program on ABC Catalyst

Professor Cassandra Szoeke (Department of Medicine, Royal Melbourne Hospital) discussed the Healthy Ageing Program on an episode of the ABC’s Catalyst program on 23 August 2016.

In the episode Alzheimer’s – Can We Prevent It?, Professor Szoeke said that recent research finds that while the risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease increases with age, doubling every five years after the age of 65, lifestyle factors can influence this risk and factors from mid-life can influence the development of the disease later in life.
