Project Details

The Doctors in Secondary Schools Program initiative is a world-first systematic pilot of primary care delivery within a school setting. The Victorian Government Department of Education deliver the program in 100 disadvantaged secondary schools around Victoria, with GPs and nurses providing preventive health care and early interventions with young people who would otherwise have limited access to health care. Training in youth-friendly care and ongoing support are provided as part of the Program.
