Intern Readiness Project

Research Overview

The intern readiness project is a research evaluation project exploring education experiences of medical interns 10 months post graduation. The respondees would have completed at 75% of their intern year in a hospital setting as working doctors.

The aims of the project are

- ascertain the views of the interns whether the medical agree had given them the skills to be knoweldge, skilled and professional in their first year as a medical doctor

- ascertain whether gaps exists in medical training for students

- if gaps exists whether there were perceived gaps and identifiable gaps

Data collection has occurred since 2012 with results being utilised for student program improvement and informing education needs for interns in the hospital setting.
