Research Overview

Co-led by Professor Christos Pantelis, this group is interested in researching best practice interventions for preventing relapse in schizophrenia which include text messaging and other mobile device platforms as well as manualised interventions. Other areas of interest include developing strategies for reducing non-attendance rates in outpatient clinics and helping develop research interests amongst psychiatrists in developing countries across Asia and Africa.

The group has authored numerous systematic reviews and meta-analyses and has a special interest in evaluating efficacy of atypical antipsychotics. A goal is to develop new technologies to enable automation in conducting systematic reviews.
