The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) gives you the opportunity to undertake substantial original research in an area of interest under academic supervision.

You will be required to write a thesis that demonstrates

• a commanding knowledge of the relevant fields for your research,
• makes a significant contribution to knowledge in the research area and
• illustrates your ability to communicate research findings on a professional and international level.

The Doctor of Philosophy can be undertaken on a full-time or part-time basis.

Local and international applicants may be eligible to be considered for a scholarship (the one application is used for applying for candidature and scholarship).
