The Medical Student Relief Bursary

The Medical Student Relief Bursary is a bursary for medical students, led by medical students. Its purpose is to provide support to our peers during times of unexpected financial distress. Small bursaries are granted to students experiencing unforeseen circumstances to provide financial support that assists them to continue their studies.

ELIGIBILITY

Students must be:

  • currently enrolled in the Doctor of Medicine (MD) course at the University of Melbourne
  • have successfully completed at least one semester of the MD course; priority will be given to students from year levels MD2 and above
  • be making adequate academic progress.

Overall financial need and current scholarships a student is receiving will also be taken into account.
