Appointment to The Lorenzo and Pamela Galli Chair of Developmental Medicine

Professor David Amor has been appointed as the inaugural Lorenzo and Pamela Galli Chair of Developmental Medicine, in the Department of Paediatrics, Melbourne Medical School.

David was the Director of Victorian Clinical Genetics Services (VCGS), Royal Children’s Hospital for the past five years. He is internationally recognised as a leading Australian clinical geneticist engaged in clinical care, teaching and research.

David will work in partnership with the APEX Australia Chair of Developmental Medicine, and provide a focus for research into causation of developmental problems within the University, the Royal Children's Hospital and the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute.   This is another major step forward in enhancing our capacity to answer some of the big questions in developmental medicine.
