Congratulations to Professor Nicola Lautenschlager

The Department of Psychiatry is proud to announce that Professor Nicola Lautenschlager, Chair of Old Age Psychiatry, has been selected to receive a service award from the International Psychogeriatric Association (IPA). The IPA aims to be the premier professional society for all geriatric mental healthcare professionals dedicated to improving the mental health of older people everywhere. It’s objective is to advance the geriatric mental health of older people everywhere through education, research, professional development, advocacy, health promotion and service development.

This award recognizes Professor Lautenschlager as an exemplary professional who has devoted leadership and catalyzing efforts to the service of IPA. The Service to IPA Award is presented to colleagues who have been, or are currently, extremely important to the growth and development of the IPA organization. These are leaders whose contributions go above and beyond in their creative energy to guide the path of the organization in a variety of ways. The award will be presented during the International Congress in San Francisco, California at the Opening Ceremony on 6 September 2016.
