Professor Lena Sanci appointed Chief General Practice Adviser to Victoria’s Department of Health
Professor Lena Sanci from the Department of General Practice and Primary Care has been appointed Chief General Practice Adviser to the Victorian Department of Health.

As the first Chief General Practice Adviser for Victoria, Professor Sanci will strengthen the Department of Health’s focus on improving health outcomes through closer and more constructive engagement with general practice, and refining connections between primary care and public hospitals.
Professor Sanci is Chair and Head of the Department of General Practice and Primary Care at the University of Melbourne. She is a practising GP at Sexual Health Victoria and has extensive experience in primary care research.
