Now Open – Strategic Grants for Outstanding Women 2021
The 2021 round of the Melbourne Medical School's Strategic Grants for Outstanding Women (SGOW) is now open for applications.
Launched in 2019 and offered biennially, the scheme is designed to assist high-performing early to mid-career women in academia in negotiating some of the challenges faced as they pursue career progression towards senior academic and leadership roles.
In 2021, at least eight grants of between $20,000 and $30,000 per annum for up to two years will be awarded through a competitive application process. These grants can be used to support a broad range of activities provided the applicant can demonstrate how this will support their career advancement objectives.
Women who have a current salaried (fixed term or continuing) or honorary academic appointment at Level B–D at the time of application; or a pending honorary appointment at Level B-D, with a Melbourne Medical School Department are eligible to apply.
