Mass Casualty and Active Shooter Workshop
A one-day intensive workshop to assist clinicians, first responders, health service managers, relevant agency staff and policy makers manage mass casualty events
Overview
This highly interactive workshop is lead by Jonathan Papson and Nicola Walsham from the Emergency Department of Royal Melbourne Hospital and the Department of Critical Care in collaboration with experts from a wide range of key agencies.
Participants learn as they go as an unfolding disaster is presented in stages. The course is divided in to three sections interspersed with scenario and table top exercises:
- Pre hospital management
- In hospital management
- Active shooter considerations.

This workshop is accredited for 8 ACEM or CICM CME hours and is suitable for ANZCA CPD. Certificates of attendance will be provided.
