Informing choices for care if faced with serious illness

Project Details

People with serious illness commonly report narrow or limited understandings of palliative care. Despite significant evidence for the benefits of including palliative care in a person’s treatment plan, late engagement with these services remains common.

This study will evaluate the feasibility and preliminary outcomes of using short visual educational stories as the basis of a public health intervention focused on improving general community understanding of palliative care. The results will provide new evidence about optimal approaches to communication about palliative care in future.
