Joint hypermobility in functional neurological disorders

Researcher

Project Details

Joint Hypermobility has been described in a number of psychiatric disorders occuring at higher rates than the general population. It has been anecdotally reported in functional neurological disorders, though whether it is a cause, a consequence or a coincidence is unclear.  We wish to establish the rates of hypermobility in a large sample of patients with functional neurological disorder and their first degree relatives to attempt to answer this.
