Research Overview

Dr Loi is a Senior Research Fellow and psychiatrist (trained in neuropsychiatry and old age psychiatry) and the group are interested in the psychosocial aspects of neuropsychiatric conditions, including younger-onset dementia, Huntington's disease and schizophrenia, and the relationships between cognition, symptoms, biomarkers and imaging.  We are also interested in patient, family and carer outcomes and other epidemiological aspects, such as mortality and service provision and schizophrenia, and the relationships between cognition, symptoms, biomarkers and imaging.  We are also interested in patient, family and carer outcomes and other epidemiological aspects, such as mortality and service provision and the NHMRC funded BeYOND (Investigating the clinical utility of biomarkers and other novel tests in younger-onset neurocognitive disorders) is a platform for ongoing examination of progression in this area.
