Project Details
The primary aim of this collaboratively funded project is to investigate the association between peripheral growth factor protein expression and psychosis symptom severity. The project will use clinical and biological information from two large national cohorts: (1) Survey for High Impact Psychosis (SHIP, N=494) and (2) Australian Schizophrenia Research Bank (ASRB, N=1,297). We are co- leading the project with Prof Suresh Sundram at Monash University. We will use two analytical approaches. First we will examine each analyte for main effects with symptom severity. We will then use machine learning approaches to build a classifier of symptom severity based on the levels of all analytes.
