Innovative Bowel Cancer Screening PhD Research Opportunities Available

The Australian National Bowel Cancer Screening Program (NBCSP) offers free home bowel cancer screening to all Australians from age 50 to 74 every two years. Currently only 44% of those invited participate in the Program, and increasing participation in the NBCSP has the potential to significantly reduce the mortality and morbidity of bowel cancer in the Australian population.

Our bowel cancer screening research is supported by the Best Bowel Australia Alliance (BBAA), a collaboration between the University of Melbourne and partner organisations, funded by the National Health & Medical Research Council (NHMRC) to conduct research to increase bowel cancer screening participation.
