Winner of Dr Leon Carp Award 2025

Dr Jimmy Tseng is currently working as a General Practitioner at Princess Park Clinic in Shepparton and is a Senior Lecturer with the Department of Rural Health at The University of Melbourne. He has a background in paediatric emergency medicine and is passionate about children’s health, family planning and sexual and reproductive health.

Jimmy’s research project will look into the intervention for asthma management in high schools. Asthma treatment standards have recently changed significantly and rural Victoria is known to be a hot spot for asthma, making this project quite timely.

With the focus on adolescent health, Prof Lena Sanci is looking forward to providing supervision and support for Jimmy’s research project.

In his free time, Jimmy enjoys creating apps and other technologies to help with targeted healthcare delivery.
