This award was given to Ms Tamara Lowry-Cisar and Ms Danielle Trezise for their remarkable support in the implementation and intervention of the SMARTscreen trial. Danni instigated the recruitment of the general practice to the trial and organised for GPs to learn about the study and consent to participate. Danni created the opportunity for Tamara to learn about research in general practice and to increase her computer skills. Both are passionate about bowel cancer prevention and got behind the trial, accommodating data collection and sending patients SMS. The research team admired their friendly attitudes and great communication, even when under enormous work pressures in the practice.

The research team always knew the study was in good hands and commend them both for doing such a brilliant job!
