Teaching and Learning Update

MD3 and MD4 Placements are now well under way for 2021! We want to thank all our teaching practices for their support in supervising our students during this time.

We are currently looking to offer general practice clinical placements in semester 2 (July-Nov) for all our first years. This will be the students’ first clinical exposure. All metro Melbourne practices have been contacted to see whether you can host an MD1 student for a 2-day visit. If this is of interest, please complete the recruitment form recently emailed to your general practice.

We have 2 new starters to the Teaching & Learning Team this year. Dr Christina Wong has joined the team as a Lecturer in Primary Care and will be working with the team to deliver teaching across the Doctor of Medicine. We also have a new GP Liaison & Placement Coordinator- Laura Burns who will be working with all our practices coordinating placements across the MD.
