Monash University Research: GP Survey on Short-Stay Joint Replacement

Monash University is conducting an online national survey on short-stay joint replacement programs (also called ‘fast track’ or ‘enhanced recovery’ programs) to understand:

  • current practices,
  • the perceived feasibility and accessibility of short-stay programs, and
  • barriers and enablers to the implementation and sustainability of these programs in Australia.

This survey is funded by a research grant from the HCF Research Foundation and has been approved by the Monash University Human Research Ethics Committee (ID 35300).

We are inviting health professionals, hospital administrators, and patients and carers to take part in the survey, which takes less than 10 minutes to complete and is completely anonymous.  General practitioners play a vital role in pre-op and post-op joint replacement management and we are keen to hear their opinions.
