Clinical Supervision Online

We've launched a practical mobile friendly short course to help clinical educators create a learning environment within which their learners will thrive.

The department is deeply engaged in improving the quality of teaching and supervision to health professional students and learners.  Arising out of the successful EXCITE (Excellence in Clinical Training and Education) program, a new online course in clinical supervision has been released in partnership with the Melbourne Medical School's Mobile Learning Unit.

The course is designed to be completed by busy clinicians whenever they have a spare moment.  It looks briefly at the theories underpinning the effective supervision of clinical learners at all levels, but its main focus is on providing some simple frameworks for coaching learners to their best performance while ensuring patient safety and quality of care.  Most importantly, it recognises that clinicans are busy and need efficient methods of achieving these goals.

There are group rates available for organisations seeking an online training solution to quickly upskill clinical supervisors, and access is unlimited once registered.  You will be able to revisit the key principles at any time and complete the course at your convenience.
