Facilitating researcher conversations
The Department of Medical Education’s Research Higher Degree (RHD) symposium provides an opportunity for research conversations between RHD students, their supervisors, the Department, and the broader health professions’ education researcher and practitioner community.
Early, mid, and final year candidates will present an aspect of their research, such as a literature review, design, or study findings. Talks will be presented in two concurrent sessions, with 15 minutes allocated for each talk, including time for questions as well as feedback on any current ‘burning issues’. There will be a panel discussion with PhD and ECR researchers on addressing the challenge of theory, with input from the audience.
The symposium provides a collegial environment for gaining experience in communicating research, for receiving feedback, and for networking. There will be canapés and drinks, and a prize for best presentation.
