Welcome Ken Chin: Lecturer in Clinical Research

In January we welcomed our newest member of the Clinical Research team.  Ken will take a leading role in developing and delivering our Master of Clinical Research and associated short courses.

Dr Ken Chin

Ken is a clinical epidemiologist and pharmacist with a particular interest in heart failure, diabetes, pharmacoepidemiology and health economics. Ken's specific expertise is in large datasets, data linkage and analyses for comparative effectiveness research and HTA. His skills include economic modelling, multiple imputation, propensity score analyses, survival analyses and time series analyses. Ken has a strong track record, with publications in highly ranked journals including The Lancet and European Journal of Heart Failure. In addition, he has disseminated his work at prestigious national and international conferences including the American Heart Association Scientific Sessions. Ken is actively involved in collaborations with industry, especially with regards to development of economic models for PBAC submissions and clinical trials. At Melbourne Medical School, Ken is the subject coordinator of Principles of Clinical Research, Study Design and Advanced Clinical Trials Design subjects in the Masters of Clinical Research program.
