2016 American Epilepsy Society Young Investigator Award

Congratulations to Dr Pablo Casillas Espinosa on winning the 2016 Young Investigator Award, conferred by the American Epilepsy Society (AES).

His abstract, “Anti-epileptogenic effects of a selective T-type Ca2+ channel antagonist, Z944, in the post-status epilepticus model of temporal lobe epilepsy”, was selected from over 1,100 submissions for this honour. This award recognises 20 young investigators conducting basic, translational, or clinical epilepsy research.  Pablo has received a USD$1,200 travel prize, and his abstract will be recognised in the AES Annual Meeting's program book.

Dr Casillas Espinosa will present his research at the AES Annual Meeting, which takes place from 2 - 6 December in Houston, Texas.
