A/Prof Natalie Hannan wins the IFPA Andrèe Gruslin Award for 2019

Congratulations to A/Prof Natalie Hannan, NHMRC R. D. Wright Biomedical Fellow Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University of Melbourne, who was awarded the prestigious International Federation of Placenta Associations, Andrèe Gruslin Award for 2019.

The Andrée Gruslin Award is offered every year to an outstanding female mid-career investigator in the field of placental or placental-related biology. The Award is named in honour of Dr. Andrée Gruslin, a maternal-fetal medicine specialist and researcher. She spent her life researching placental health as a way of reducing risk from conditions such as preeclampsia and intrauterine growth restriction.

The award comprises of funding and an invitation to present a plenary lecture during the upcoming IFPA meeting in Buenos Aires, Argentina, September 10-13, 2019 and the lecture will be published as an article to the annual issue of “Trophoblast Research”.
