2021 Melbourne Excellence Awards

Please join us in congratulating Sarah Marcola for being awarded the 2021 Bronwyn Jane Adams Memorial Award in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the University and her professional excellence.

Following on from her 2020 MDHS Faculty Award for Professional Excellence and Innovation, this is great recognition by the wider University of Sarah’s commitment to her work and colleagues, both staff and students, her initiative and eagerness, and in particular, her leadership. Sarah has been instrumental in the formation of the MAPS network (MMS Administrative and Professional Staff Network) which currently has over 100 members, who come together monthly to share best practice, and is coming up to its first year anniversary.

Sarah was also instrumental to the successful coordination of the Summer elective subject run at the Mercy over the December/January months to assist 100 odd students to recoup lost clinical placement time due to COVID.

Sarah has been a member of the Professional Staff Conference organising body for both 2020 and 2021 as well as assisting with the MMS Women Clinicians in Academic leadership Symposium (Secretariat) late last year.

Congratulations Sarah; you have been very busy and you are most deserving of this award.
