Faculty hosts morning tea for Royal Women’s Hospital refurbishment

On Wednesday 6 February the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences hosted a morning tea to acknowledge the refurbishment of Level 7 of the Royal Women’s Hospital.

The new layout was designed to meet the needs of five research groups specialising in cancer, gynaecology, newborn, and pregnancy research, including the RWH portion of the University Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Professors Shitij Kapur (MDHS Dean), John Prins (MMS Head), Peter Rogers (RWH Director of Research), and Professors Eva Dimitriadis, Suzanne Garland, and Clare Scott (research group heads) addressed their roles and hopes for this new space at the event.

Professor Prins thanked all who helped the RWH Level 7 refurbishment come to fruition and the researchers, clinicians, and professional staff who have made this dynamic hub a success.

The refurbishment is one of 16 upgrades to facilities at the Faculty and partner organisations completed in 2018.
