Level C Promotion

Congratulations to Dr Naomi Holbeach who was successfully promoted to Level C in late 2022.

Dr Holbeach joined the Department in 2021 as a lecturer in the Women’s and Newborn Health rotation and site coordinator for medical students at the Mercy Hospital for Women where she also works as a clinician. She has dual qualifications in medicine and law and is currently in her final year of a PhD considering surgeon’s legal and ethical obligations in innovative surgery through the Melbourne Law School. Her research interests are in health law, clinical and research ethics, and clinical teaching. Naomi is passionate about teaching in women’s and newborn health at all levels of tertiary education and junior doctor training. She is particularly thrilled to be part of the MD curriculum redesign this year as well as leading the development of an entirely new subject in collaboration with the Melbourne Law School in Law and Ethics for Women’s Health.
