New ANZPRA President elected

Dr. Natalie Hannan, PhD, Senior Research Fellow from Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University of Melbourne and the recipient of a prestigious CR Roper Fellowship has been elected ANZPRA President.  Natalie has been working in the field for over 15 years, and has been a member of the ANZPRA executive for over 4 years. Her research focuses on understanding the complex interactions and mechanisms underlying implantation and placentation, with a strong focus on the pathophysiology of major pregnancy complications. She leads a dynamic team, as part of the Translational Obstetrics Group at Mercy Perinatal.

The Australian and New Zealand Placental Research Association (ANZPRA) is a society for researchers in placental biology and pregnancy disorders in Australia and New Zealand and aims to facilitate all aspects of placental research, to provide a multidisciplinary scientific forum for researchers interested in placental studies and to provide, where appropriate, a formal association for the representation of members' interests in relation to governments, granting institutions and private organisations.
