Congratulations to Dr Carole-Anne Whigham - Awarded Best Presentation of Abstract Submissions at the Society for Reproductive Investigation MRC-CRH meeting held in August 2017 in Edinburgh, Scotland. Dr Whigham’s award winning presentation was 'Preeclampsia is Associated with Reduced Endothelial GATA2 - Implications for Endothelial Dysfunction'.

Dr Whigham was also awarded a new investigator prize at the August 2017 International Federation of Placenta Association conference in Manchester, England for her work on GATA 2 in pre-eclampsia.

Dr Carole-Anne Whigham is a first year PhD student at Mercy Hospital for women campus of University of Melbourne and a clinical obstetrics and gynaecology trainee. Her PhD project involves investigating maternal blood biomarkers for pre-eclampsia. Her main goal is to identify a predictive biomarker for pre-eclampsia.
