Level B & C Promotions

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology & Newborn Health wish to celebrate three recent promotions. Congratulations to Dr Natalie Binder who was successfully promoted to Level B and Dr Ellen Menkhorst & Dr Sarah Lensen who were both promoted to Level C.

Dr Natalie Binder Dr Binder is a postdoctoral researcher within the Therapeutics Discovery and Vascular Function in Pregnancy Group, where she leads development of the team’s internationally renowned small animal models of major pregnancy complications. Natalie also supervises several research higher degree students and is passionate about developing safe and efficacious therapeutics for use in pregnancy.

Dr Ellen Menkhorst Dr Menkhorst joined the Department at the end of 2018 as a Researcher in Reproductive Biology in the Embryo Implantation Laboratory. Ellen’s research passion is to understand how placental formation and function is disturbed in diseases of pregnancy including preeclampsia, recurrent pregnancy loss and fetal growth restriction, for which she holds a NHRMC Ideas grant.

Dr Sarah Lensen Dr Sarah Lensen is an NHMRC Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne. Broadly, her research aims to improve and facilitate evidence-based healthcare of people undergoing fertility treatment. Her current research focusses on the evidence-base behind IVF ‘add-ons’ and finding ways to translate this information for IVF patients and professionals.
