Professional Development
Working with its Campus partners at the Melbourne Children's, the Department of Paediatrics manages and delivers a diverse range of professional development programs which are aimed to advance healthcare professionals through further education (intensive workshops and seminars). Programs vary from annual paediatric updates, twice yearly clinical teaching intensives and tailor made seminar programs.
- Clinical Paediatrics Update
This update is designed to offer general paediatricians, trainees, and other interested medical practitioners an update in a variety of areas in child and adolescent health. The Update is run and co-ordinated by the Department of Paediatrics, The University of Melbourne.
- Medical Teacher Education and Support
The Department of Paediatrics with the Royal Children’s Hospital, Melbourne conducts short courses and provides mentoring for medical teachers. The courses aim to support teachers in developing a more formal understanding of a range of education roles and more skills for their teaching roles.
