Field leader in paediatric medicine in the Top 250 Australian researchers

Congratulations to Professor Nigel Curtis (Professor of Paediatric Infectious Diseases in The Department of Paediatrics) who was named the field leader in paediatric medicine for the 3rd year running in The Australian’s Top 250 Researchers.

The Australian’s Research magazine names the top researcher in each field of research, based on the number of citations for papers published in the top 20 journals in each field over the past five years. This is a measure which considers both the quality and the impact of the research.

The list is presented by The Australian special report and details the nation’s top researchers in 250 fields of academic endeavour. It is to acknowledge the achievements of Australian researchers and to shine a light on what they do and the benefits they bring to the country.
