Thesis Title: Modelling development of the human adaptive immune system in vitro

Thesis Summary: The thesis investigated ways of creating an artificial human immune system in the laboratory using stem cell technology. This study discovered mechanisms controlling the production of human immune cells and demonstrated that human immune cells made in the laboratory could be used to search for new medicine treatments for infectious diseases.
