Ms Erin Crellin: Winner of Individual Best Achievement in Medical Research 2020

Ms Erin Crellin completed her Master of Biomedical Science in 2020 and is soon to commence a PhD with the Department of Paediatrics. She was nominated for an Aspire Award by her supervisors Prof Sylvia Metcalfe (retired), Prof Clara Gaff, Dr Amy Nisselle and Dr Belinda McClaren.

The Aspire Awards, supported by Funds in Court and the Supreme Courts of Victoria, celebrate leadership, achievement, contributions and abilities of people with a disability across a wide range of sectors. Erin was nominated for her excellence and advocacy as a trailblazer in Medical Research. Her nomination stated: “Erin’s leadership, excellence and passion will serve as an inspiration for other young people with disabilities who hope to have careers in medical research”. At the ceremony on December 2nd, 2020, Erin was announced as the winner of the Individual Best Achievement in Medical Research category.
