Welcome Professor Franz Babl
The Department of Paediatrics is delighted to announce Professor Franz Babl, from RCH Emergency Department has been appointed the inaugural Professor of Paediatric Emergency Medicine with the Department of Paediatrics.
Franz is also world leading clinician researcher in Paediatric Emergency Medicine at the MCRI, and an NHMRC Practitioner Fellow. His appointment following an international search is a testament to his clinical and research leadership and expertise.
We are delighted to welcome Franz into the University, and look forward to seeing him further grow Melbourne Children’s as a world leader in clinical research in his discipline. Franz will take up his University appointment on October 1st, while continuing a limited clinical role at RCH.
