New AUPOA Publication: Advancing a theoretical framework when designing trials of nonpharmacological treatments in older people

Dr Bahar-Fuchs and colleagues published a perspective paper in which they applied an influential theoretical framework, the Rehabilitation Treatments Specification System, to the large body of work on nonpharmacological treatments for older people on the continuum of aging and dementia. The paper reflects a large international collaboration with contributions from many leading experts in various areas of intervention research and has the potential of improving the specification of treatments and the design of clinical trials to asses them. The paper has been published in Alzheimer’s and Dementia: The Journal of the Alzheimer’s Association.
