The results of a study that evaluated what people with cognitive impairment and their carers thought about an app that assists with activities of daily living have been recently published in JMIR mHealth and uHealth. AUPOA researchers worked together with researchers at the Technical University of Munich on this study.

The study surveyed older adults older adults with cognitive impairment and their carers’ perceptions of the usefulness of different functions that can be provided within an app to assist with everyday tasks. This study is important as there is increasing availability of technologies for people with cognitive impairment, but little is known about what features they would value and would encourage them to use these technologies.
