The inception of this project can be traced back to 2017, when Associate Professor Brownfoot attended an engineering conference and saw the smartwatch presented. She immediately envisioned a similar device tailored for monitoring foetal health. In the following year, Associate Professor Brownfoot met Professor Palaniswami and Dr Keenan—electrical engineers who were already interested in foetal monitoring—and the idea evolved from there.

The growing success of Kali Healthcare was recently highlighted in Qantas Travel Insider, in an article written by Jane Nicholls. The full story can be accessed here: Kali Healthcare Is Out to Revolutionise Foetal Heart Rate Monitoring With the Power of AI.
