Celebrating MMS scholarships

On Tuesday 20 August, the Melbourne Medical School hosted many of its generous donors for dinner in celebration of the impact of scholarships.

Donors were hosted by senior leadership from the School and had the opportunity to meet the students who benefitted from the awards they made possible this year.

It was clear from the conversations on the night just how valuable scholarships are in alleviating financial stress for our students.

Each of them works to achieve excellence in their studies, and for many, receiving financial support through a scholarship grants them the focus they need to do their best.

Whilst the School was pleased to offer more than 50 scholarships this year, there were a significant number of students in need who applied but were unsuccessful.

For this reason, raising further funds for scholarships will continue to be a key priority in the coming years so more students can be supported to fulfil their potential free from financial constraints.
