MySafety wins silver in design awards

The University of Melbourne’s MySafety website – developed by Department of General Practice researcher Associate Professor Laura Tarzia in collaboration with web design company Avenue Digital – recently won silver in the DrivenXDesign Melbourne Design Awards. MySafety (www.mysafety.org.au) was developed in 2019 to support students who are concerned about a relationship or a sexual experience, or who are worried about a friend. It was funded by a Student Services and Amenities Fee internal grant and aims to raise awareness about abusive behaviours and promote help seeking using interactive questionnaires and tailored information. The Melbourne Design Awards are run yearly and celebrate design excellence across a range of categories.
