Professor Bruce Campbell receives the Peter Doherty Leading Lights Award 2021

Professor Bruce Campbell from the Department of Medicine and Head of Stroke at the Royal Melbourne Hospital has been named the 2021 recipient of the Peter Doherty Leading Lights Award by the Australian Society for Medical Research (ASMR). This is a well-deserved acknowledgement of the internationally recognised contributions he has made regarding the imaging and treatment of acute stroke in recent years. Congratulations, Bruce!

The ASMR Peter Doherty Leading Light Award is named in recognition of Nobel Laureate Professor Peter Doherty, whose scientific achievements and commitment to science advocacy continue to inspire the research community. This award celebrates the achievements of mid-career researchers in Australia.

Professor Campbell will present his research at the 61st ASMR National Scientific Conference (NSC) due to be held later this year.
