MMS Women Clinicians in Academic Leadership (WCAL) Symposium 2023

The Melbourne Medical School is delighted to announce that the second Women Clinicians in Academic Leadership (WCAL) Symposium, Changing the system and culture of medicine to ensure women clinician scientist thrive, will be held from 9.30am–4.30pm on Friday 31 March 2023. Attendees will have the option to attend the event in-person at Melbourne Connect or online via zoom.

This event will focus on what is needed now to change the system and culture in medicine for women, and include keynote speeches from inspirational women leaders, a dynamic panel discussion and small group discussions to learn essential skills to succeed as women clinician scientists.

The Women Clinicians in Academic Leadership group aims to provide aspiring women clinician scientists an opportunity to hear about different career paths and challenges and how they were overcome, learn how to deliberately curate the successful career they want, learn practical skills essential to effective and positive leadership, and listen to stories.
