2023 MD Student Conference
The 2023 MD Student Conference was a great success, running the first fully in-person program since 2019.
More than 1,300 MD students participated in the largest student-run conference in the Southern Hemisphere
This year marked the 13th iteration of the annual student conference and for the first time since 2019, it was delivered in a completely in-person format.
Held at Melbourne’s iconic Marvel Stadium, the event boasted a bold and diverse program with inspiring keynote speakers, workshops, social events, and unmatched opportunities for collaboration and networking across the Melbourne Medical School.
The MD Student Conference is entirely student-led, bringing together more than 1,300 Doctor of Medicine students across all year levels of the program to explore facets of medicine not covered by the curriculum.
The vision for this year’s conference was Engagement and Representation, which aimed to see students engage with the conference program and each other. It also aimed to see diversity of the student body represented, with sessions, speakers and sponsors celebrating the multitude of interests and perspectives of the cohort.
