Associate Professor Christine Rodda receives honorary life membership

Associate Professor Christine Rodda from the Department of Medical Education was awarded honorary life membership from the Australian and New Zealand Society of Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes at the recent Annual Scientific Meeting.

Associate Professor Rodda is a medical graduate and postgraduate at the University of Melbourne, and was recognised for her various career achievements during her almost 40 years of clinical experience as a paediatric endocrinologist.

One of her many achievements involved developing and implementing the new post graduate paediatric course at Sunshine Hospital for third year University of Melbourne MD students. She was also instrumental in establishing a multidisciplinary Young Adults Diabetes Clinic, and a Paediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology Clinic at Sunshine Hospital.

Associate Professor Rodda retired from her clinical position at Western Health in 2021, and remains a part-time Associate Professor of Paediatrics at Western Clinical School where she continues to be the medical student research co-ordinator.
