RMH CS students get a refurbished common room

After two years of deliberations, funding submissions, tender submissions and then logistically timetabling demolition and construction, the medical students at the RMH hospital finally get to enjoy a space they can truly make their own. It’s been a while coming and began with a relocation arrangement by the hospital into an unused area of the Clinical Medical Research building. The area itself was large with a number of separate compartments which we turned into a larger common room, a couple of study rooms and a large locker area.
The students are making good use of the space with positive comments streaming in. Thank you to Lina Pepe our Precinct Manager for her guidance, for organising the funding, for working with the project manager to get the job done and in particular for listening to our whinging and whining about a facility we believed was less than adequate for our medical students.
