Melbourne Medical School researchers receive National Health and Medical Research Council Ideas Grant funding
Four researchers from the Melbourne Medical School have been awarded funding through the latest round of National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Ideas Grants.

The NHMRC Ideas Grant scheme supports exceptional researchers in undertaking new and important projects across a diverse range of health and medical challenges. Open to researchers at all stages of their careers, the scheme encourages successful recipients to address significant health challenges in Australia through discovery and innovation.
Congratulations to the following Melbourne Medical School recipients:
- Dr Jacqueline Donoghue from the Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Newborn Health: Molecular Mechanisms of Abnormal Uterine Bleeding.
- Professor Susan Walker from the Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Newborn Health: Novel methods to identify women at risk of preeclampsia late in pregnancy.
- Professor Evdokia Dimitriadis from the Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Newborn Health: A new way to see endometrial receptivity defects and implantation failure.
- Dr Chandana Herath from the Department of Medicine – Austin Health: Novel liver-targeted therapy in liver cancer.
