Teddy Doctors Raise $52,000 During Good Friday

The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre came alive on Friday 18 April, as the Teddy Bear Hospital returned for the annual Kids Day Out – part of the Royal Children’s Hospital Good Friday Appeal.

More than 3,000 children and their teddies were welcomed by over 1,400 medical and allied health students from the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences.

Teddies received check-ups, x-rays and even dental exams from a dedicated team of student 'teddy doctors', offering children a unique opportunity to engage with healthcare in a friendly and interactive setting.

The event not only provided educational value, but made significant fundraising efforts. Through generous donations and participation, the Teddy Bear Hospital raised $52,000 for the Royal Children’s Hospital.

The Teddy Bear Hospital’s next event will be at Chadstone - The Fashion Capital from Saturday 23 August 2025 to Sunday 24 August 2025.
