Researchers receive NHMRC Development Grants
Two researchers from the Melbourne Medical School have been awarded funding through the latest round of National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) Development Grants.

The NHMRC Development Grants aim to increase rates of translation of health and medical research into commercial outcomes, resulting in improved health and medical knowledge.
Recipients:
- Professor Stephen O’Leary from the Department of Surgery for his two projects:
- DaWinCI – Cochlear drug delivery for flexible treatment of inner ear disease
- Hear Alert: Ensuring high value clinical review after cochlear implantation
- Associate Professor Fiona Brownfoot from the Department of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Newborn Health: Novel Nanosensor for Real-Time Fetal Monitoring in Labour: Towards Safer Births Worldwide
